This photo was taken a few years ago at the church I served in Mont Vernon, NH.
I have been married for 33 years to my husband, Geoff. Geoff worked for many years as a computer engineer and now is the Executive Director of the Open Pantry of Lowell ( a food pantry that serves food insecure people in the Lowell area). We have lived in Chelmsford in the same house for 32 years and my three children all graduated from Chelmsford High. Katie earned her MSW and is now a social worker in Boston, Chris works at the Los Angeles Philharmonic as a Customer Rep and he has two children, ages 6 and 8. Daniel actually lives in Leominster and works for Garden Remedies in Fitchburg. Geoff and I have two dogs, Bailey, a wheaten terrier, and Seamus, a whoodle!
I grew up in Danvers, MA, and have always lived in MA. I graduated from Salem State College with a B.A. in Sociology and then earned my Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School. I was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 2012 and I've served three churches: I was Christian Ed Director for about 17 years at Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford, MA, then Acting Minister of Congregational Life for a year and a half at the same church. I was called as pastor and teacher to Mont Vernon Congregational Church, UCC, in NH, in 2012 and I served there for 6 years. I left in Sept 2018. For the past three months I have been the Sabbatical Minister of Pastoral Care at Christ Church United in Lowell, MA.
I have taken the training to be an Intentional Interim Minister, finished the coursework last January, and earned a certificate as an Intentional Interim Minister. I'm looking forward to working at a church in the area as an interim and using the skills that I have learned.
My theology is liberal/progressive, and my passion is to teach and preach, serve and spread God's message of love, radical grace, and inclusion and God's desire for peace in the world.
